Private Home

The project involves the construction of a family home in Ferrara.

The design was conceived through a horizontal development based on the juxtaposition of partitions that define and mark out the interior spaces. Rooms facing south have been favoured with a view of the large garden and the countryside. The choice was made to design the entrance so that the vegetation outside is framed by a vertical opening. The living area overlooks the natural environment through a large window.

Access to the sleeping area is through a space with wooden wardrobes running along the wall, leading to the two bedrooms and the bathrooms and, in contrast to this wall, a narrow and long window has been designed at eye level so as to maintain a connection with the surrounding outdoor space.

The remaining windows have a full-height vertical extension. For the exterior finishes, a mineral plaster made of natural red clay was chosen to make the exterior vibrant thanks to the visible grain of the material.
